Salary:
Starting salary £21,825 - £23,350 dependent on experience and qualifications
(equivalent to £25,516.40 - £27,300 per annum FTE based on 35 hours per week. Part time and term time salary are pro-rata FTE. Equates to £14.02 - £15.00 p/h)
Minimum qualifications required:

Functional Skills Level 2 or Grade C / Level 4 GCSE in Literacy and Numeracy.

Relevant certifications in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or related fields (preferred).

Main purpose of the job:
As an ABA Tutor, you will deliver 1:1 or 2:1 teaching and learning support to children and/or young adults with autism and/or learning disabilities. Your role will involve supporting their learning through a differentiated national curriculum. You will implement Individualised Education Plan’s (IEPs) and Applied Behaviour Analysis therapy programs under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) / UKBA (cert).

*Mileage and travel costs are reimbursed when working in second setting, from home to client location up to 50 miles round trip. Any direct support miles with client in car are paid at 0.45p per mile.
Main duties:

Utilise applied behaviour analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviours and academic progress.

Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

Monitor and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency and progress.

Provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers on implementing strategies at home.

Collect and record data on the progress of each individuals' goals and objectives.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding protocols at all times.

Engage in regular supervision sessions with a BCBA / UKBA (cert) to review progress and strategies.
Essentials:
-
Previous experience working with young adults and / or children as an ABA/PBS tutor in school or home settings particularly with students who have special educational needs and/or autism.

A working understanding of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.

Passionate in providing care and support with patience and empathy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have eligibility to work in the United Kingdom

Commitment to professional standards and ethical practices in behaviour analysis.

Driver- holding a UK permitted full driving licence; have use of own vehicle and CLASS 1 business insurance with breakdown / recovery cover enabling facilitation of activities for the client.
Desirable:

A Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT).

Knowledge of medication administration protocols for students with medical needs.

Holds qualifications or is working towards qualification in ABA or PBS field.

Familiarity with the UK educational system and special education policies.
